Golden Retriever breed of dogs
Golden Retrievers are popular breeds of dogs, mainly because they are loyal, cheerful and all the fun type of dog. This breed of dog originally bred for hunting their ability and their ability to survive harsh weather conditions in northern Europe. Golden Retriever is especially popular with families, as well as an excellent search and rescue and service dogs for disabled people. These dogs are well known for its lively personality, as well as some other features.
Usually their appearance is the first thing that comes to people’s minds when thinking about the Golden Retriever. This breed of dog is noticeably large, strong and very active. Under their lush coats, their bodies are bristling with muscles. Golden Retrievers have been specially bred as game animals and their body structure allows them to track their prey through the dense undergrowth. On average, males can weigh from 65-75 pounds and reach 23-24 cm in height at the withers. Women are generally smaller in the range of 55-65 kg and reach 21-22 cm in height. Despite the large size, Golden Retriever very friendly faces that every charm in their presence.
The Golden Retriever gets its name from the color of his hair, which are in various shades of gold from cream to rust. These dogs have thick, water-repellent coating that protects them against the cold, harsh northern Europe, where they were originally bred for hunting. They also require regular maintenance to their coats healthy. Care twice a week is usually sufficient, unless the shedding, in which case the daily care may be needed. They do not require trimming as other breeds the dog, but stray hair should be cut on a regular basis. Golden Retriever is a thick layer should lie flat on the body and can be wavy or straight. Originally bred in the Scottish Highlands, through the years have evolved distinct differences between British and American types of Golden Retriever. British Golden Retrievers are usually brighter and huskier than their U.S. counterparts. Head, eyes and muzzle dogs are certainly different. Canadian Golden Retriever breed is a mixture of both American and British. Their coats are darker than the British race and they are comparable in height and weight to the American race.
Most people think of as the golden retriever dogs with an engaging personality, outgoing. They are also one of the races, which is easiest to train. They can sit for hours while hunting or working with search and rescue teams down to exhaustion. Only detraction is that the breed is so friendly that they do not tend to watch very well dogs.
