MSM stands for Methylsulfonylmethane. Its core function is to supply sulfur for cartilage health, but it has also powerful anti-inflammatory effects. These qualities make it very efficient supplement for dogs.

Many food does contain MSM but some of it is lost during food preparation and storage. What's more, every year the body is less efficient in absorbing MSM. This is why mature dogs do benefit from MSM supplementation.

However, not only older dogs benefit from MSM supplement. Studies have shown that dogs with arthritis have only 1/3 of the concentration of sulfur needed to maintain healthy cartilage. MSM has also anti-inflammatory effects, making it important ingredient in joint supplements for dogs.

For the ultimum joint health results, it is best to go for supplement that contains Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM as well as other powerful joint support ingredients, e.g. Devil's Claw, Bromelain, and Hyaluronic Acid.
